SMOY - Thirty years of successful customer relationship marketing

On 21 December 1979, a new advertising agency was born with a mission to create customer dialogue that gained results. From the beginning, this agency was a pioneer. Originally named Skandinavian Suoramarkkinointi Oy, it was the first advertising agency in Finland to specialize in direct marketing. Already in the early 80s, the company became better known by its acronym: SMOY.

The first owner was the late Patrick Elg, founder and CEO of
the Suorayhtiöt Group. Over the years, SMOY remained a part of the Suorayhtiöt Group, acting as an independent unit of
the Forma Publishing Group and Bonnier Group media corporations. Last year, SMOY broke away from Bonnier. It is currently privately owned, with operative management members owning the majority of shares.

This is why we have a relatively low profile, despite the fact that we are one of Helsinki´s oldest advertising agencies."

SMOY Advertising Agency has been a pioneer in results-driven customer relationship marketing for three decades. The company currently employs some 15 professionals in traditional and digital marketing, including several language translators. SMOY´s key customers include the Synsam and Cazze optical stores, Nordea Financing, Anttila retailers, Radio Nova, Elfving Holding, Kaleva Travel, Aller Media and Tammi Publishing.
